Grapes of Humanity Dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City

I had the pleasure of photographing the Grapes of Humanity Global Foundation’s Greatest of Grapes Legend Dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City, on October 23rd.  I thank John Johnson, the Executive Chef of the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City, and Tiffani Cailor, their Director of Public Relations, for letting me be a small part of this wonderful event.

The Grapes of Humanity Global Foundation, established in 2003 by Arlene Willis and Sam Sarick, calls on the best of the international wine community to raise funds to help those around the world who have survived personal tragedies or natural disasters become more self-sufficient.

This event featured 11 of the world’s most renowned wine producers pairing their best wines  with a ten-course tasting menu created by the famous French chef, Daniel Boulud. Such great wine wasters as Pablo Alvarez of Vega Sicilia, Laurent Drouhin of Joseph Drouhin, and David Pearson of Opus One attended.   Chef Johnson created the hors d’oeuvres while Gavin Kaysen, the Executive Chef of Cafe Boulud, brought to fruition Chef Boulud’s sublime tasting menu.  The event brought in more than $200,000 for the foundation.

My job was to photograph the action in the back of the house, and to photograph the beautiful dishes before they left the kitchen.  Cher Kaysen, and Chef Johnson, and their respective crews were amazing, professional, and gracious to me.  Chef Boulud’s food was out of this world.  I thank them tenfold.
